Welcome to Art!

Welcome to our semester-long art class, where creativity takes center stage for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. In this course, students will explore art history, painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and outdoor art opportunities. Throughout the semester, self-reflection will allow students to track their artistic growth and emotional connections to their work. This class is designed to inspire and empower students to express themselves creatively in a safe environment. This will be a semester filled with artistic discovery and personal growth!




In Advanced Art, students in 7th and 8th grades will begin the semester by identifying areas of specialized interest and skill. Students will create works of art within their interest area using at least four different media as they learn to plan, execute, reflect, and showcase their work. Emphasis will be placed on investigating career and lifelong learning opportunities in the visual arts.
